St. Helens Passage

Spotted this near a cafe in Oxford, England. The sign wasn’t anything special but I did wonder who St. Helens was and why they have their own passage. Bonus points for the 12th century turf tavern sign below. The pic doesn’t quite do the extreme narrowness of this justice but suffice to say that you would have to be very thin or perhaps walk sideways to get to the end of the passage.
